Dance and Corporate Wellness: New Ways to Support Teams in the Workplace

by | Oct 27, 2026

1. We move less than we think

In our daily lives, between screens, meetings, and long workdays, we spend many hours without moving. According to an international study by ASICS, published in September 2026 and involving 34,000 adults from 31 countries, respondents spend 86% of their waking hours without moving. These findings invite us to reflect on the importance of incorporating more physical activity and movement into our routines, including during the workday.

2. Movement and Emotional Well-Being: An Important Connection

The World Health Organization (WHO) highlights the health benefits of physical activity and recommends reducing sedentary time. In this context, corporate well-being is becoming increasingly important: companies can explore initiatives that help their teams adopt healthy habits, ranging from employee wellness programs to classes, workshops, and group activities.

3. Dance as an Experience of Connection

Dance combines movement, music, expression, and social connection. It’s not just about learning steps, but about enjoying an experience that allows you to disconnect from your obligations and connect with others. At Salsa Flow, we offer dance as an alternative for employee wellness activities, team-building experiences, and team gatherings, tailoring each program to the needs of the company and its participants.

4. Corporate Wellness: New Experiences for Teams

Companies can integrate these experiences into their workplace wellness programs, team-building days, or “wellness at work” initiatives. At Salsa Flow, we’re especially excited because we’ll soon be collaborating with ASICS on an initiative focused on movement and well-being. We’ll be able to share more details very soon. In the meantime, we continue to champion an idea that guides our work: sometimes, the first step toward connecting with others is to feel comfortable moving on our own again.
